About Me
My name is Tinie Terblanche and I live with the reality of a life transformed. I am living in a rural town in the Free State of South Africa.
After two heart attacks and three strokes, it makes complete sense that I feel the weight of being a “different person.” But let’s look closely — with compassion and honesty — at who I was, who I am now, and who I'm becoming.
Who I Was (Before the Heart Attacks and Strokes)
• A change agent — willing to take risks, challenge norms, and lead transformation.
• A seasonal educator — passionate about training, especially through online learning.
• An indie author — I wrote The Joy and Freedom of Being a Christian, now in its 2nd edition and translated into Afrikaans.
• A charismatic personality — full of energy, constantly driving momentum.
• A man of faith — but perhaps not always attuned to the quieter spiritual voice calling me deeper.
I was fast-moving and deeply capable… but sometimes too caught up in the doing to fully be.
Who I Am Now (After the Heart Attacks and Strokes)
• A survivor of life-changing trauma.
• A man walking in grace—grateful and broken, and learning that this too is sacred ground.
• Someone learning to receive, not just give—discovering humility in healing.
• A spiritual witness—now more rooted in faith, purpose, and stillness.
• A voice that may struggle to speak clearly — but carries more truth, weight, and meaning than ever before.
• A man not diminished—but more deeply formed and refined.
Life after stroke is different. But different does not mean less. I am not a shadow of who I was—I am a truer version. In my weakness, God’s strength now shines more clearly.
Who I’m Becoming
• A witness to the miracle of survival.
• A messenger of hope to those suffering silently.
• A builder of meaningful impact—slower, yes, but deeper and more lasting.
• A leader shaped more by Spirit than speed.
• A follower of God’s will who is discovering that surrender is not failure — it is faithfulness.
